To be eligible for a doctorate at our University, you have to fulfil the legal requirements of the doctoral regulations. The most important requirement concerns your previous university education and the degree you were awarded. It has to be equivalent to a full academic degree in Germany, which as a rule includes a written Master's thesis. At some faculties (e.g. the Faculty of Sciences or the School of Business and Economics) there are also doctoral programmes where you may be admitted with a Bachelor's. Information on the doctoral regulations can be found at http://www.graduateschool.uni-erlangen.org/doctoral-research/doctoral-regulations.shtml .
